The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Ho West, Hon Ernest Victor Apau attended the maiden Speech and Prize Given Day organised by the Kpedze Rashadiyya Islamic Basic School on 30th November, 2022 at the school premises.
The theme for the celebration was “Girl Child education, the necessary tool for development”
Addressing the gathering at the program the District Chief Executive reiterated government’s commitment in providing quality education in the district. He also assured them of government continues participation in total development of projects in zongos.
He urged the school children especially the girl child to take their studies serious and be of good behaviour in order to achieve the necessary impact in society.
The DCE supported the fund rising with an amount of cash and promised to visit them with donation in support of the school building.
The Headmistress of the School Madam Ramatu Idrisu Teni in her speech stated that girl child education is key to the development of the nation. She urged parents not to prevent their girl child from attending school but to support them in all endeavours in order for them to effectively discharge their roles in nation building.
She also encouraged parents not to relent on their effort in providing their wards with the necessary support. There was quizz, poems, and Quran recitals by KG and crèche.
